happy new 2005

as i close the chapter of my life that was year 2004, i sit back and drink in all the memories the year has brought me. certainly its fair share of ups and downs, sweet and bitter, joyous and heartbreaking moments.

the highlights of the year…some the greatest moments of my life…of which i'd have great photos and memories to look back upon:

  • my trip to australia (melbourne and darwin)…which opened my eyes to new sights, culture and experiences
  • finally being to able graduate…after 4 years of frustration, confusion, doubts and tears that was my life at uni
  • having my sister home for her summer break…which was practically like having my best friend home…what with all that we share
  • getting my first job and paycheck. and i can honestly say that it’s a job that I enjoy doing, with loads of challenges and opportunities

then…of course…there were those moments of despair, hopelessness and frustration…from which i hope to learn from and become a better person:

  • giving my heart to the one i loved, only to have it shattered in return. i'm still trying to pick up the pieces… struggling to mend my heart…moving on with life
  • coming across shitty clients who give both your colleagues and you hell…and then some! i vow never to buy any benq (formerly known as acer) products. ever!
  • balancing the time to write for the magazine…as i'm the ONLY writer. explains why i put in long hours (sometimes till 7.30pm), work most saturdays and don’t have a life after work

for the new year, i hope to learn something new to improve myself. learn a new language?…a new skill?…a new music instrument?…go for self-improvement lessons?…or even learn how to develop my self-image (clothes, appearance, character)?

here's hoping for a better year and a better me. happy new year everyone!

Oh man, talk abt late commenting ^^;;;

2004 sounds a lil mean to u ^^;;; but it's always good to look to lighter side of the year.

The "learning a new instrument" thing sounds interesting. I was considering proper guitar/piano/watever lessons at one point. lemme know if ur up for anything like that ^^

I am seriously thinking of taking up bass lesson ( just-dun-ask-me-why-damnit!) but with me juggling work, my Japanese lessons and my obsessive nature with a PS2 lying around ... *sniff* T.T
