there's a first for everything
shhh...i'm blogging during office lunch hour...shhh
yesterday prooved to be a day of many firsts:
#1 seeing an LRT advertising a movie (previously were nokia, tv3, twisties, etc.). guess what movie? "sky captain & the world of tomorrow"!
#2 riding in an LRT all covered (inside & outside) with nokia n-gage ads. nothing unusual...until i heard the PA system! if u've taken the LRT before, u know that everytime it nears a station, an ascending tune will be played (sounds like so-do-mi) followed by yazmin yusoff-like voice announcing the next station.
guess wat? this "special" train was promoting nokia over the PA system too! instead of abovementioned ascending tune, it played the 2 or 3 different ring tones that nokia phones have when receiving sms! u know, the "beep beep, beep beep" tune, at an ear-popping decibel!
station-announcer voice was also changed. and after the next station was announced, nokia's signature tune was played (sounds like la-fa-ti-ray-so), in a variety of ways. talk about nokia brainwashing! >.<
#3 going to the china embassy by taxi. first time in a taxi, first time at an embassy! hahaha! :p had to go there to interview their education representative about "studying in china" article. security was fairly tight, but i bet u anything it's nothing compared to the british and american embassy!
