another year older...but am i another year wiser?

i turned 23 two days ago. so i'm one year older now...but am i truly one year wiser than last year?

i think...ever since i turned 21...i never really looked forward to birthdays. i don't know why...maybe because sis is never here to celebrate with me? or maybe because i miss celebrating with my family? or maybe i'm getting jaded for birthday celebrations? (the irony of the word jaded. haha!)

upon reflection...i'm still somewhat childish...both attitude-wise and action-wise. my other weaknesses? hm...what about being lazy, selfish, procrastinating, quiet, not very ambitious, afraid to approach strangers? not to mention the occasional times of being careless and tactless? sigh...i still have much more to learn and to improve myself...

mum, dad, sis, bro, grandma, 1E, 4E, 5E, sophia, sylvia, ching-ching, jive, noie, cow, naga, labbit, ping pong, onion, jin boone, soo jean, valerie, cheen peen, chris, kiong, kuan yew, sze huey, sue anne, michele, mr woo, poh hean...and anyone else whose name i've forgotten! :D

hmm...i did get a few gifts which are somewhat of a pet peeve or stuff that i don't really like. have to crack my brains to think of what to do with all my birthday gifts. haha :p

here's hoping for a better, more determined, more resourceful and more hardworking me!
