"turn fear... against those who prey on the fearful"

christian bale is soooo good-looking! *swoons* to quote a friend, i'm now a "bale fanatic". hahaha :)

first fell for the handsome christian in the 1994 movie, little women. he was the sweet and charming boy next door, laurie. a bittersweet tale of love, loss and growing up, little women has been one of my favorite movies till now.

went ga-ga over him again, in batman begins. managed to get tickets to watch the movie at times square last saturday, and thoroughly enjoyed myself during the 2+ hours of christian and company :p here's my 2 cents on what i thought about the movie:

christian bale - bruce wayne/batman: chiselled face, soulful eyes, debonair, sensitive, drool-worthy...need i say more? ;) only weird thing was his extra gruff voice when conversing as batman *laughs*

cillian murphy - dr jonathan crane/scarecrow: agree with her that he has beautiful eyes. watch the movie to see what i mean. betcha that he has prettier eyes than loads of girls! *grins*

liam neeson - henri ducard: poor guy seems relegated to mentor-father figure type roles. remember him as qui-gon jinn in star wars ep. I and godfrey (orlando bloom's character's father) in kingdom of heaven? (but my point of view may be biased since those are the only movies i've watched that liam has starred in :p)

michael caine - alfred & morgan freeman - lucius fox: bruce's mentors and allies, these guys have some of the funniest (even sarcastic) lines in the movie!

katie homes - rachel dawes: a somewhat boring character. guess her "popularity" as tom cruise's (current) girlfriend is overshadowing her talent (if any) as an actress. which is too bad, coz i liked her character in dawson's creek, a spunky and independent tomboy

batman begins is definitely worth a second watch, just to see the uber-cute christian bale in action. right right? *nudges her* oh...and the title for this post is a quote from the dark knight a.k.a. batman ;)
