a crazy world we live in
i don't know if some drivers are just plain insane or stupid. there was this driver who was tailing me quite closely when i was at the toll a few nights ago. i noticed that his car exited the toll very quickly after i swiped my touch'n'go card to exit the tollbooth. then i realized he'd followed my car so closely that he exited the toll without having to pay! mind you, this young punk (college age guy) was driving a sleek-looking mercedes, so he could definitely afford the toll payment!
something else that annoys me are drivers who don't use their car signals or switch on their car lamps when driving at night. i have to anticipate whether these dum-dums are gonna change lanes or turn into junctions. it's pretty scary when i see these "dark ghosts" speeding along the road...makes me wonder if they're unaware their car lamps aren't functioning or they're just idiots.
and just the other day, a colleague of mine met with a snatch theft in front of her aunt's house in the daytime! (read more of her story, written by another colleague, here. i don't think the opening paragraph of the story was very appropriate though, cos it seemed like the sub-editor who edited the story just highlighted the wrong thing!)
my colleague's upper arm was slashed and everything in her bag was gone. wallet, ic, driving licence, - credit cards, mobile phone, nintendo ds, digital camera. it's such a scary experience and to think it could happen to anybody!

ooo... my mum always say that she feels safe whenever i m in Geelong, and starts worrying when I go back bcoz of all these cases these days :D

That's scary O_O; I really hate the way everyone had to be so scare walking even in broad daylight nowadays >_>; ( even more frustrating is the fact that I know my parents are worried sick about me living and working here :\ )
